Benfica with good news against Barcelona

Attention Benfica: Barcelona is underweight and misses the Champions League

Barcelona footballer Pedro González had a relapse of a muscle injury in the quadriceps of his right thigh and is expected to be out of action for another month, missing the Champions League game against Benfica.

The young midfielder from the Canary Islands, who had joined the Catalans’ training on Tuesday after a break due to injury, and was preparing to join the squad to face Espanyol on Saturday, accused the effort and did not train with the group anymore or on Thursday or Friday.

Pedri was injured on 14 September in the Champions League game against Bayern Munich and, after playing again, he had a relapse in another European game, in this case against Benfica, on 29 September, now missing the match with the “eagles” of next Tuesday.

The player only managed to play four of the 16 games that “Barça” played this season, while, in the previous one, he accumulated 52 matches.

Bayern Munich lead Champions Group E, with 12 points from four rounds, followed by Barcelona (six points), Benfica (four points), and Dynamo Kiev (one point).
